Irritable? Having problems concentrating? Feel like taking a nap during the day? These are common symptoms we all have experienced at some point in our lives when we haven't had a good night's sleep. While most of us have experienced occasional sleep difficulties, about 1/3 of healthy adults and children will experience more severe sleep problems. Among families of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) issues with sleep may be even more common with up to 80% of these children experiencing difficulties with sleep. While there are a number of sleep problems which can occur, this webinar will focus on two common problems - difficulties in going to sleep and difficulties in staying asleep. Strategies for assessing and dealing with each of these problems will be discussed. Learn about strategies to help families assist their children in go to sleep and stay asleep.
