Course Number
CONHVI23C2:RediscMeaning&Resil1.75hrWVECTCRCON
Overview
This presentation explores how meaning-centered psychotherapy can support helping professionals who work with parents grieving the loss of a pregnancy, child, or caring for a child with disabilities. We will address the challenges of burnout and vicarious trauma that can arise in these roles and provide practical strategies to prevent and mitigate their impact. Drawing from the principles of meaning-centered psychotherapy, participants will learn techniques for self-reflection, self-care, and cultivating personal meaning and purpose in their work. By prioritizing their own well-being and finding renewed meaning in their helping professions, professionals can enhance their resilience, prevent burnout, and continue to provide effective support to grieving parents.
