Overview

In this training by Meredith Lester, you will learn the basics of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participants will learn about Autism and what they may expect to see in children with Autism in their care. At the end of the session participants will be able to understand what Autism is and how to best support children with Autism.

Objective

1.1 a. Understands the impact of physical health on children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development
f. Understands parenting strengths that support a child's development
l. Applies current knowledge and theories about specific developmental delays, developmental disabilities, and risk factors to advocate on behalf of young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families
