Overview

ACEs 102: Overcoming Adverse Childhood Experiences will provide a brief overview of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and learn ways to overcome them. This face-to face training will examine and help you understand the variables related to resilience, protective factors, and safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments. 


Objective

1.1 g. Recognizes signs of resilience in the child and family and works with the family to strengthen protective factors

1.1 h. Understands the impact of stress and trauma on a child’s development and supports families in reducing

children’s exposure to stress

5.4 j. Recognizes and understands the importance of increasing the protective factors that strengthen families and

communities
