Overview
This is an in-person training at the CONNECT office. When school age children return to school, you too are starting a new year with the children in your care.  Planning a predictable, yet flexible schedule is a must.  Introducing and practicing routines, along with setting rules and expectations needs to happen now if you want your program to run smoothly.  This will help your year be successful with children’s safety, positive interactions and behaviors being the top priority.  This in person training will provide you with the information needed to accomplish all these things to make the most of your new year with your afterschool children with help from your afterschool specialist.  You will also be able to build relationships with other school age providers in our Connect Region.
