This face-to-face course will equip preschool teachers with an understanding of the essential early literacy and oral language skills that support children’s reading and language development. You’ll explore the key components of oral language, phonemic awareness, alphabet knowledge, and concepts of print (print awareness), as well as the important connections between these skills and emerging literacy.
You’ll be introduced to practical instructional routines and strategies for intentionally supporting language and literacy development throughout the preschool day.
