This face-to-face session is designed to strengthen essential teaching practices through practical strategies and important procedural updates. Participants will learn how to take purposeful anecdotal notes, apply the updated COR Advantage assessment and scoring process, and follow revised timelines for assessments and planning. The training will also review updated procedures for lesson planning, disability documentation and policy changes, and transition activities to support children moving between programs. Educators will leave with clear, actionable tools to enhance instruction, streamline documentation, and better support each child’s development. This training is for NCWVCAA HEAD START STAFF ONLY.

Assesses children’s progress across all developmental domains 3.1 c. Uses multiple methods for gathering information and collecting data 3.1 d. Develops and/or uses assessment practices that are aligned with applicable standards 3.2 Practices appropriate child assessment. 3.2 a. Knows developmentally appropriate assessment methods 3.2 b.
