Overview

ACEs 103: Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences will provide an overview of adverse childhood experiences and the impact of trauma. It will also help you identify some of the root causes of adverse childhood experiences and look at the best practices for preventing ACEs through individuals, families, schools, and communities. This is a face-to-face training event. 


Objective

1.1 g. Recognizes signs of resilience in the child and family and works with the family to strengthen protective factors

1.1 h. Understands the impact of stress and trauma on a child’s development and supports families in reducing

children’s exposure to stress

5.4 j. Recognizes and understands the importance of increasing the protective factors that strengthen families and

communities
