Overview
We continue to focus on providing supportive services for children and families experiencing homelessness in Head Start communities. In this interactive, face-to-face session, participants will engage in discussions about caring conversations with families and meaningful collaboration with partners to increase opportunities for serving families and children experiencing homelessness.
Objective
2.1  d. Recognizes and acknowledges that culture, language, socioeconomic factors, support systems, and special needs may influence how families nurture their children 
2.1 g. Takes time to learn about families’ race, religion, home language, family structure, employment situation, other child care arrangements, as well as their values and beliefs about childhood, education, and intervention
2.1 m. Recognizes the impact of family stress on child development and family function and works closely with the family to link them to appropriate community resources
2.2  b. Values families and welcomes them into the classroom, program, or home setting
