Overview

In this face-to-face training, you will learn about Down Syndrome. Participants will learn how to help children with Down Syndrome and meet their needs in the classroom. At the end of the session, participants will be able to understand what Down Syndrome is and how to accommodate children with Down Syndrome in their childcare setting.

Objective

1.1 j. Improves understanding of child growth and development through ongoing review of current research and observation of children

4.6 b. Uses ongoing observation and assessment to meet a child’s interests/curiosity, learning styles, temperament, strengths and challenges, family priorities, current environment
